![]() Namely, when they cancelled lifetime licences moving from v7 to v8, forcing everyone who owned them to either stay on an older version or switch to a subscription model, and recently, with the introduction of v9, they changed the look (and my favourite, ease of use) of the Chrome extension, and introduced bugs where it can't properly detect the fields on some sites, thus it can't save or fill the username/password. In case anyone is wondering why I've been wanting to switch from Roboform, it's because there's been some issues with it over the years. Did I miss it? Did it get implemented in the past year? Or does it still not have it? In which case, is there a password manager that does? I tried Bitwarden about a year ago, and, unless I couldn't find the setting for it to do the same, it didn't have one. No need to re-enter my master password every time I reopen or switch browsers (which I do with some frequency). ![]() I use the desktop application, which I unlock with my master password when I start my PC, and it automatically unlocks all of its browser extensions (Chrome, Firefox, Edge.) and keeps them unlocked until I restart my computer (I can set a timer, but I don't, because only I use my PC). Here's where the magic of Roboform comes in, and what's keeping me from switching. Please note that storage of file attachments is available only for premium users, including members of paid organizations (families, teams, or enterprise). My passwords are stored locally and I regularly back them up to a USB drive. Q: How do I import file attachments to Bitwarden A: File attachments must be manually migrated to your Bitwarden vault, as they are currently not included in bulk import operations. I use Roboform purely as a password generator and manager (generate random, 20-character long passwords, store them, and auto-fill them when I tell it to) system-wide, so I don't care much about the sync/encryption/. The problem is that I can't find one that works as good as Roboform, ease-of-use-wise. ![]() I currently use Roboform, but I've been trying to switch to a different password manager on and off for several years now. ![]()
